Carbon Poker Cash Games not as Juicy anymore

Ever since April 15 when Full Tilt & Pokerstars shut out USA players due to the FBI (see post from April), Carbon Poker Cash Games have gone downhill. It used to be easy to find a table with an average pot size of around 20$ for .5/1 NL, now they are all around 12-14$. I assume this is due to the cash game players migrating over from FT and PS.

Compressed course + lazy prof; not a good combo

So I had my first compressed course experience this summer. going into the 40% exam, everyone only knew 27% of their mark.

Now the prof says he will mark it by Monday (which actually means he might mark it by Sunday). We have also submitted 3 assignments that he has not marked....and may not mark at all. So this 27% of my mark really does not reflect my performance in this course, yet he might weigh it a lot heavier than it is just because he won't mark the 3 assignments that are worth 30% of our grade. Luckily I think I aced the exam.

What to do..what to do...must influence the prof that the part he didn't mark is awesome

FBI seizes US poker domains

Don't you have something better to do FBI? Like catch terrorists & murderers?

If you go to these sites:
http://www.pokerstars.com/
http://www.absolutepoker.com/
http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/

you get this nice little message courtesy of FBI:

Come on over to .ca guys, our government is not yet a cash grabbing machine.

Snoop Dogg wannabe schooled

Playing versus a donk that had just 5 bet sevens all in, and cracked aces against a player that doesn't raise often.

On the flop, my thought process was:
1) he probably has nothing.
2) If I re-raise him, he may be crazy enough to push me with nothing, and i'm not crazy enough to call.
3) The small chance that he does have something is ~ = to chance of me hitting AK.
4) Therefore calling him down is better

                  A few hands later:

Against a regular player my calls seem fishy,
but versus j to the hizzle as you can see
from the result they are amazing:

Maniac goes all in with A high! :)

Mtt's vs Cash Games

Just came first out of 137 in a rebuy tournament. This is just the second mtt i've played this year; and the payout is equal to what I made in the last 10 weeks of cash games.
My mtt stats on SharkScope:

770% ROI in 19 games hehe

Only problem is I never have time for mtt's they take way too long; i can rarely just sit and play for 5 hours; so cash games are a lot more convenient. I have a feeling I would make more on mtt's though.

Bracelets are a great feeling :)

$85k if only i was a fish!!!

Hit a spade royal flush today. If I had posted the 50 cent jackpot, I would be $85000 richer.
Too bad i know pot odds, and the Jackpot was not nearly large enough for me to post:(

How long can we spend on WorkareaSetup?

70 minutes and counting...thanks to "interactive guy" asking stupid questions, and the prof saying the same thing 10 times in response..."its a pain in the you know what"...yes it is Brian...move on ffs!!!

Girlfriend thinks there's just 1 post on here...I'll show her :P

So we went to the Maddy on Friday. The best place to sit (or worst if you don't like having funny stories to tell later) is on the bottom floor at the back, since everyone walks through there when they go in.

So there we are, a group of 12 people around a table, no space for any randoms to sneak in you would think. Five of us are minding our own business, playing Egyptian Ratscrew, when out of nowhere random dude (who i will refer to as RD from now on) interrupts our game and says to 1 of 3 girls at the table and says "Excuse me I noticed you are very cute, what's your name?"
She quickly makes up a fake name, "Michelle".
He asks some more generic questions about her studies, and gets some more made up answers. My gf says to another guy at the table, "Aren't you going to stand up for your girlfriend?" RD says he
gets the hint, but then asks us some questions about our card game, and asks if he can join us anyway!??? nobody says yes, but he squeezes in, with 2 of his buddies hovering on the table outskirts. Somebody explains our game to him, yet he didn't manage to slap in even once.

Eventually he buggered off.
RD:
ballz: 100
smoothness: 0

Then some random girls watching our game from over the railing yelled to ask me what faculty I am in...no I was not wearing any university paraphernalia, and this was not a University bar.
So...sit at this table if you want some attention :)
